Welcome to The Magic Duster. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and your booking of our cleaning services. By accessing our website or scheduling a service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

The Magic Duster provides residential and commercial cleaning services in San Jose, California and the surrounding Bay Area. Service availability, scope, and pricing may vary depending on the size of the space, the type of cleaning requested, and the schedule.

• Deposit: No deposit is required to book a cleaning.
• Cancellations: We ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or reschedules. This allows us to adjust our schedule and offer the time slot to other clients.
• Late cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a fee of at least 50% of the booked service price.
• Rescheduling: We're happy to reschedule your appointment when needed. Please provide as much notice as possible so we can accommodate you.

Your satisfaction is our priority. If you're not happy with the quality of our cleaning, please let us know within 24 hours of your service and we will return to re-clean the areas in question at no additional cost.

This guarantee is limited to the areas and services covered in the original booking and does not apply to issues reported more than 24 hours after the service.

To help us deliver the best possible service, clients agree to:

• Secure pets before we arrive. For the safety of our team and your pets, animals should be safely contained or removed from the cleaning area.
• Remove items from floors. Clothing, toys, and personal items left on the floor will not be organized or picked up. Our team cleans around clutter but does not move personal items.
• Provide access to the space at the scheduled time (via key, lockbox, code, or being present).
• Provide access to water and electricity as needed for cleaning.
• Disclose any hazards such as pest issues, mold, biohazards, or fragile items before the service begins.

Payment is due upon completion of the work. We accept cash, credit and debit cards, and major digital payment options.

If payment is not received on the day of service, we reserve the right to charge a late fee and/or to decline future bookings.

All services are non-refundable. If you are dissatisfied with a cleaning, our 24-hour re-clean guarantee is the sole remedy. We do not issue refunds.

The Magic Duster is not liable for:

• Pre-existing damage to surfaces, fixtures, or belongings.
• Damage resulting from improper instructions given by the client.
• Items of extraordinary value that were not disclosed to us before the service.
• Issues reported more than 24 hours after the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount paid for that service.

You agree not to misuse our website, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, distributing malware, scraping content, or using the site in any way that violates applicable law. We reserve the right to restrict access to our website at our discretion.

Our website uses third-party services, including a form submission processor and Google Maps, to operate certain features. Your use of those features is subject to the privacy practices of those third parties.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated ‘Last updated’ date. Continued use of our website or services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these Terms or from our services will be resolved in the courts of Santa Clara County, California.
